  • A few days ago, I felt rather gloomy and crammed my head with music in hope of lifting my spirits. When I eventually stumbled upon this album, my moodiness vanished into thin air. Alunah really improved over the years, and this record feels more consistent than the ones I tried before.

  • If Lush made a doom album, it would be this album.

  • These Vocals...for me, there is nothing comparable. Aluna is completely unique, indeed. Thanks for making Music Guys!

  • Lovely guitar tone, classic but heavy and fuzzy. Well composed songs, plenty of fresh ideas for fans of doom.

Liam Smith · favourite track: Fire of Thornborough Henge

  • Proper Sabbath-like riffs (possibly the band's heaviest to date) are topped with Sophie Day's excellent vocals, intoning lyrics about nature and natural magick, much more interesting than the overdone "hail Satan" crap that far too many less talented female-fronted retro doom outfits keep touting. One for playing on the way to this year's Wicker Man ceremony, I should think.
