Astro Throne originated as the solo project of Lawton, Oklahoma tattoo artist Matt Shreve, first started by a series of fantasy writings in 2018. In 2021, during the Covid-19 lockdown, Matt took these many stories and threaded them together into one conceptual project, bringing it to life through Astro Throne as a stoner/doom band. Throughout 2021, he recorded two singles and released an EP in 2022, enlisting local musicians to assist in live shows.
