“This band have reached inside my head and put my thoughts to music! I'm against proselytisation, but the social commentary on this record is observational and not preachy. The music itself is a wonderful style of folk/bluegrass/country doom. Nary a weak track on the album, they're all magnificent. Great vocals and use of samples too.”
“Rightly self described as doom folk, in my mind it sits neatly with some of my favorite bands like Cactus Black, New Light Choir, and 16 Horsepower- bands that take Americana and make it heavy, with stories full of allegory and metaphor where the lyrics can be listened to as anthems, or full blown narratives. Of the three albums this one feels the most inspired, and has the best groove. If the politics feel heavy handed, the clever wordplay makes them easier to digest. This is true art.”
