  • They seem to get better with every album they make. Sentinels remains my personal favorite due to the number of tracks I enjoy on a visceral level, but this album seems even more focused, and almost tells a story from start to finish. The recurring refrain between the first and second-to-last tracks add consistency and give me goosebumps, while the ending almost make me shed a tear.

  • Omens is the rocktastic follow up to Sentinels which I really liked and this album just gets better with each metal rockin riff, the spoken word bits are extremely cool.

  • I thought my metal time is gone, but with this masterpiece Omens from Desert Storm my hairs sprout again and becomes longer and longer. Further my neck is suddenly flexible like a young deer. I like the raw and dark parts and the melodic nice sections too.

  • I liked the previous album but his one made me a fan, i love the entire mood of this record. The almost spoken word sections also work great.

  • There’s something surprisingly pleasant about Desert Storm’s particular brand of stoner sludge. Their riffs are quite palatable and yet lose none of the typical punch of sludge metal. There’s an airiness to their sound that is reminiscent of early ‘90s grunge á la Soundgarden and late Boner Records era Melvins.
