“I’ve always been surprised among DBT fans that this album isn’t way more popular. I feel it’s one of Mike Cooley’s finest moments in the band. His style changes from his norm on both Made Up English Oceans and Natural Light both work great on this album. He shows a lot of creativity and range. Grand Canyon I feel is one of the best songs Patterson Hood has ever written and an amazing tribute to a longtime friend who passed. For me as a DBT fan this album is in my top three.”
