Formed as a christian industrial metal band in 1988 by Scott Albert (aka Klay Scott/Klayton) after the disbanding of his former thrash metal band Immortal (5). The '90s live line-up also included Jason Tilton and Daren "Klank" Diolosa. The project was disbanded in 1998 and resurrected in 2016, separating itself from the earlier christian identity. The second album 18537 was originally not an album by Circle Of Dust but a re-release of the earlier album 102225 (1992) by Brainchild (2), a side-project of Scott Albert. R.E.X. Music did this because they wanted Klayton to make a second Circle Of Dust album but without having the money to produce it.
