“Extremely unique hard rock. The vocals give things an almost burlesque vibe, but I hear a little Danzig in the approach, too. The song structures are quirky and dynamic, with lots of rhythmic changes within the songs. For all the variety the album is very cohesive and never strays into shtick. There is a dark aesthetic to it, and bands like Tindersticks and Murder By Death come to mind as comparisons, not in sound so much as vibe. This os excellent.”
“Austrian Hard / Progressive Rock. Far from your ordinary project & anything but a boondoggle... :) It is so many different styles all seamlessly rolled into one superb album! From avant-garde to progressive & psychedelic as well as some stoner & doom & just plain old heavy... :) I love the unique style of vocals as well which lend that special flavour & zest to the entire opus! All the tracks are so playful they are totally addictive! Thanks Grey Czar & Argonauta! Highly recommended!!!”
“Is there something in the water in Austria that forms these great rock voices? I love the singing on this and Ozymandias' Cake! Both are on the list of my latest favourite rock albums. Boondoggle is varied rock without being too sprawling. No bad track. No instrument wanking. Great tight playing. Boondoggle, ett helgjutet album!”

“Theatrical, progressive rock from Austria that retains an accesible edge. The vocals are one of the most striking aspects of this LP, think Morrisey meets Danzig meets Serj Tankian, third track 'Fire Water...' being one of the best examples. Daring and uncomprimising, yet somewhat familiar, tracks such as the piano-led 'Weight of Worlds' and' Thunder Bay' gallantly blend styles and infuse them into something remarkably unique.”
