“I'm gonna be honest: as a Nate Powell completist, I bought this album basically for the cover alone (if you haven't read Powell's comics, you should because they're great). It didn't come as any surprise, though, that the music itself was rad as hell. Kind of like Lucero but leaning more towards bass-rattling sludgy blues-rock. Every song practically smells of whiskey and sweat and cigarette smoke.”

“To me this is like Meatloaf’s Bat Out of Hell on steroids. The emotions, pain and angst. Such a great album. Thrilled to have it in my collection. Thanks y’all”
“Your amp would sound like this too, if it started drinking whiskey, grew a beard, got a bunch of tattoos and snorted large lines of cocaine to ease the pain of reality. Iron Tongue are the high end pain relief or the boot in the side to your qualms in life.”
“Like this raspy voice as clue between heavy rock and blues. Favorite track: 7 days”
“Just fell in love with the cover of The Dogs Have Barked.. I knew I would love the music... I am busy discovering it and it feels like I was right...”
