“The two Kylver albums are simply some of the best modern instrumental rock music there is. Organ-driven, progressive riffage. Sometimes moody, sometimes thunderous. I often lose interest in long songs and instrumental songs, but that never happens here.”
MindOverFour · favourite track: The Mountain Has Ghosts
“Prepare to be absorbed by the enthralling atmosphere of this album... you will get dragged into its mountainous peaks and blissfully ejected from its heights. Well crafted post-metallisms adorn the sludgy progressive audio tale of a Ghost that's hard to tame...”
ALPHA-OMEGA · favourite track: The Dance of the Mountain Ghost
“2015 - Progressive Rock / Instrumental (UK) I'm not quite into Prog Rock and the keyboard is a bit confusing at first but KYVLER managed to convert me to a music I won't usually listen. It may be different if there was vocals but fortunately there are none. This deserves emphasis.”
“An absolute powerhouse of an album. An epic soundtrack to film that exists only in your mind.”
Derek Sykes · favourite track: The Feast of the Mountain Ghost
“I bet this ghost had a troubled past that we never heard about. Not to justify it's actions, but I worry about the perpetual cycle of violence and retaliation. The music makes me think of justification (for the actions of the villagers), but ends with a result (the fall of the ghost) that offers no glimpse of the consequence--no denouement. Which, to be clear, I find incredibly fitting (given that perpetual=no end). Also pumped that I got my hands on the blood orange copy. YES.”
