Mark Lanegan (November 25, 1964, Ellensburg, Washington, U.S. – February 22, 2022, Killarney, Ireland) was an American singer, songwriter, author, and musician. Lanegan began his musical career in 1984 as the frontman of the psychedelic grunge band . Following the end of Screaming Trees, he became a frequent collaborator of . Lanegan also collaborated with various artists throughout his career, including Kurt Cobain, Isobel Campbell, Moby, Unkle, Soulsavers and Not Waving.
