  • Before buying this album, I had only heard "Kanata" thanks to the band's Fender Sessions video. It immediately captured me with the delicate, blissful, classical sound. Overall, this entire album has such a gorgeous aesthetic to it. From the 'eye of the storm' feel in "Cyclone" to the adventurous "Where We Begin" and the monumental title track, the whole album is an exercise in post-rock perfection. It reminds me of Walking Cloud but with stronger overall songwriting. Easily one of their best!

  • Possibly the best post-rock piece of art I've heard, and I've heard a lot. Makes you wanna cry as it seems to capture all the sad beauty of life, distilled in a bunch of tunes. Mono is just awesome.

  • The perfect album for a cold, lonely night of quiet reflection. Just you and your thoughts. But seriously, this might be my favorite MONO album yet, and gut-wrenching harmony of neo-classical and post-rock that ebbs and flows, soars and cascades, and makes even the most mundane thing just a little bit more exciting. The music crawls up your back until it causes the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up, utterly titular until the very end.

  • I can get lost and float in MONOs music. Pure bliss.
