  • I loved From the Abyss on my first listen, and this whole album is quickly becoming a favorite. Deep grooves; some great prog moments without being overly clean or noodly; contagious energy; lots of 70s metal and rock influences, without feeling like a knock-off of any one sound.

  • Oh, this masterwork makes my mind travel back and forth in time, starting from 70s Yes, moving on to 90s Italian cult psych-grunge band Karma, and then all the way to Reflections-era Elder and Khan from down-under. This is Mr. Bison's fourth LP and, to me, it's also the first one where they fully manage to conflate all their influences into a unique, organic, enthralling, liquid yet tempestuous sound. Can totally see why this album put the guys on Heavy Psych Sound radar.

  • I have previously compared Mr Bison with ‘Elder’ but by doing this, I feel like I’m doing Mr Bison a disservice. Yes; their sounds are comparable. It’s just that, on average, Mr Bison’s last 3 albums have well out performed Elder’s last 3 efforts. The soundscape of Seaward is just majestic and is a worthy addition to any psychedelic collection. If you like Space/Prog/Heavy Psych/Stoner; then this is an album for you. It’s really quite sublime.
