“A bit more progressive while still being heavy both musically and lyrically. For those who say that the band's best is behind them, you're honestly missing the point behind what Pallbearer does. A band can change while still sounding new and fresh much like a band can keep to what the fans want and yet sound stale. Sure, there'll never be another Foundations of Burden or Sorrow and Extinction, but Heartless is still a very solid showing.”
