“With Pink Floyd being my favourite band and The Doors among those not far behind, how could I not like these Mexican grand-sons of a certain James Douglas Morrison!? Well, overall the Doors influences clearly dominate, but early-Floydian elements are plenty and the occasional Latin infusions make things even more interesting. Someone mentioned Tio Carlos S. and listening to El Buitre, I won't argue with that ;-) I chose Ziggurat as favourite, as it's combining nicely the mentioned influences...”

“This band wears its Pink Floyd and Jim Morrison on its sleeves, but who am I to complain? They insert enough fantastic songwriting and musicianship into the mix to own their own sound. And for all the obvious homage, they still sound modern. Killer album. Update: I like this even more with each spin. This is real good.”
“Very excellent desert rock with heavy doses of the Psyche Blues of Pink Floyd and Santana style jazz fusion. Can't really pick out a single favourite track, whole album is a brilliant listen with fantastic musicianship.”
“¡𝓔l Rey Lagarto vive! The doors of perception have teleported to the fringes of Mexico City, guarded by the psychedelic concierges of Rider Negro. This brand of tie-dyed desert blues holds timeless appeal; from 60s L.A. to Mēxihco 2020. Long thunders the desert's echo. Upon tundra's tempest through meadow's zephyr.”
