• “Shadowvale treads a path most similar to Mares of Thrace on this immense debut. The genre confusion doesn't matter when the sludge and hardcore influences hit this hard. Excellent vocals (both clean and harsh) and a bass hefty enough to support the weight. A particular shout out to the longer tracks in the second half of the album, where slow build and gazey fuzz (respectively) take the album to different and ultimately successful climbs.”
