“An Age Imprisoned on repeat on repeat.”
“I’m just in love with Thou’s musical voice. They are able to mix the very heavy, hardcore-inspired Sludge with very subtle and very beautiful melodic parts. ‘Burning Black Coals and Dark Memories’ serves as a great example of this unique experience. Sure, mixing melodic and heavy is nothing new, but I have never heard it be done in as subtle a way as Thou does. This, among other reasons, is why it’s one of my favorite (metal) bands at the moment.”

“Crushing riffs... very grooving. What can I say? I am in platonic love with the entire band. Ok, maybe.... with this amazing music.... we can skip the platonic part.”

“The first Thou album I ever heard, my sophomore year in high school. I can still remember where I was when I first heard The Work Ethic Myth. There's something incredibly special about revisiting albums like this when you're older.”

“Par rapport à Tyrant, on ne pourra pas vraiment dire que Peasant, deuxième album de Thou, brille par ses expérimentations mais le groupe de Louisiane affirme d'autant plus son doom/sludge abrasif ("The Work Ethic Myth" et "They Stretch Out Their Hands" sont du Thou pur jus — et c'est pour ça qu'on les aime) en incorporant tout de même d'autres styles (le drone qui conclue "An Age Imprisoned" ou les dissonances de "The Road Of Many Names" sont fantastiques). Pas révolutionnaire mais très bon !”
