“F’n good. A lot of bands from the 70s in this one.”
“Boy-girl harmonies, deep fuzz stoner baselines, and cosmic anthems—Turtle Skull nails everything Black Mountain used to do before BM got that divorced dad sound.”

“You'd hope this Sydney based collective are locked away, busy working on a full-length, for this eponymous EP is fantastic. Starting with the darkened Psych of 'No News is Bed News', through the subliime Neu-like workout of 'Take It Or Leave it' and the searing, sun-bursting 'Eden'. As the last strains of the laid-back 'Empty Ships', a track that would not be out of place on the latest Wooden Shjips LP, fades out you can't help but want more. On this form, the full LP is gonna be a beaut.”

“If you're looking for colorful metaphors & in depth analysis of genre and time patterns this ain't it. This debut freakin kicks ass! This shit is GOOD. "Eden" is a fuzzy, bad ass ride. Love this album, wish it was longer🤘.”

“What a brilliant band, took a chance buying this as I'd read a few good things about them , these songs albeit slight lyric changes could have been from 50 years ago or circa 1970-1972 it's got that underground vibe with classic sounding guitars , buy and listen .”
