“For me, “Idolum” is Ufomammut’s masterpiece, although “Snailking” and their split with Lento are also very good. I like “Eve” but prefer the greater variation and experimentation in their earlier work. Not too taken by subsequent albums but I really like this one which captures more of their early sound whilst maintaining, to a degree, the shorter and more structured song format of “Eve”. Great live band too.”
