  • A massive, all encompassing soundscape delivered in perfect doom form. Vin De Mia Trix utilize such a vast array of sound and emotion that I can't help but love this album.

  • With so much great metal music being released, invariably certain albums fell off my radar. What a fantastic release "Palimpsests" is! Others have commented on the sound (doom/bm/prog) but the scale and scope of these compositions is what stands out to me. Think like the ambition of Yes around "Topographic Oceans" with the long-form song execution of Blood Incantation with gothic vocals on top - it is a whole fucking lot to take in. Support this band on the next Bandcamp Friday. Unreal artistry.

  • A masterpiece. Sounds more like an extended version of My Dying Bride than a typical funeral doom album. The sound is amazing, I don’t know how they achieved it but the rythym section works in such harmony with the guitars and has one of the best bass sounds I have ever listened in a metal album. Far more melodic and sophisticated than the usual funeral doom stuff. The vocals are fantastic . It wouldn’t be a bad idea if these guys tried a more traditional album with shorter songs next time.

  • This album is very good. It amazes me how these musicians are just as good at writing and playing soft, quiet and soothing sections as they are at writing and playing very heavy death metal sections. This might be the single most varied album I have in my collection. And, also, it has lots of music, so listeners will get a lot of bang for their buck! Congratulations to the band!
