  • Angelenos Vitskär Süden bring on the heavy psych. The distinctive, deep voice of their singer and bassist, Martin Garner, makes them instantly recognizable. The band is rounded out with guitars and drums, and they’ve added cello, violin, and keyboards, plus Kristi Merideth on backing and a solo vocal as well. The lyrics are foreboding and vivid. Altogether intriguingly dark and chilling.

  • Serious AOTY potential here for me. Everything they did on the previous two extraordinary albums that made them stand out is accentuated here. I learned about this band from Laird, and other than his stories, that's one of the best gifts he ever gave me was getting to hear this band grow and develop into a truly unique and powerful entity, devouring all just like Old Leech. And it ends on a song of such sweeping beauty, it made me tear up a bit. Cheers. Absolute triumph.

  • Just spun the record after receiving it today. I joined the listening party hosted last week but am amazed at the dynamics of this on my speakers vs. the computer speakers I listed to this on. The band has come very far since their last album, exploring different sounds and seeming other genres as well. Some of the songs and beats to me are reminiscent of NIN industrial electronic elements at times with a hard prog/doom sound. this is an amazing album. Do not hesitate on this.

  • Supported by unparalleled vocal melodies, their songs explore, even more deeply, the territories of progressive rock. Whispering, symphonic, insinuating, and with a wide range of compositional resources, they create beautiful songs in which textures multiply under a cloak of sadness and loneliness, immersing us in an introspective world.
