  • Void King do the doomy stoner rock thing really well. With an EP, a split single, and now three albums under their belt, they’ve begun to explore the depths of their sound even more. Instruments are tight, vocals sound great, and things get a little bluesy on “Brother Tried.” If you like your stoner rock slow and heavy, don’t pass this one up.

  • The Hidden Hymnal is a captivating and monumental offering. With an unyielding dedication to the power of the riff, Void King embraces the darkness and unleashes a storm of heavy, downtuned guitars and thunderous drums. The album's immersive atmosphere draws the listener into a vortex of crushing heaviness and haunting melodies, while the impassioned vocals convey a sense of desperation and reverence.

  • These lyrics are so intensely personal. I feel like it's my life on the page. And it's so god damn heavy.
