“I remember that I loved this album when it came out. Now that I’m listening to it, it doesn’t hit me like it did 15 years ago but I’m just getting older, that’s the real problem. III is a slow march that brings you down to hell, the titletrack is a trip of 22 minutes where rock and electronic are perfectly mix. The Bloated Pope and Pink bat are the only song that aren’t instrumental. Safety Third is the best song of the album: pure Melvins style with electronic touch to make it even better.”

“Despite the genre rift between the two acts (Melvins being sludgy crust-punk and Lustmord working the ambient- drone angle) they manage to play off each other spectacularly, as evidenced by the 22 minute mammoth of a title track. Definitely one of the better collabs of the decade.”

“"Pink Bat," like the "Lateralus" album, testifies that Adam Jones should stop writing terrible drop-D funk riffs for Tool and become a session guitarist specializing in noise effects. "The Bloated Pope" and "Idolatrous Apostate" are also really good songs -- Buzzo finally knew what he was doing when he hit up this Lustmord guy, and "The Bloated Pope" has some of his best riffs.”
